Membership in MLUWC offers you the opportunity to 
  • Meet women with similar interests
  • Enjoy monthly programmes and speakers
  • Participate in interest groups
  • Further the education of West Island women and girls by raising funds for scholarships
  • Enjoy membership in the CFUW and Graduate Women International, including reciprocal privileges at all national clubs
  • Gain access to international clubs
  • Advocate on issues of current interest in accordance with CFUW policy.
MLUWC members
  • Welcome women of all ages and from all walks of life and appreciate the varied life experiences they may bring to our club.
  • Support the policies and objectives of the CFUW.
  • Grant student membership to women enrolled in full-time postsecondary studies.

​60th anniversary

As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations, Mary Vlahos and the members of the Anniversary Committee approached some local merchants, seeking discounts for MLUWC members. To date, some merchants have confirmed what discounts they are prepared to offer:
  • Maurizio’s in Beaconsfield: 10% off any regular-priced meal.
  • Casa Greque in Pointe-Claire: free dessert with every dinner.
  • Richer Jewellers in Dorval: a 15% discount on any in-store merchandise at regular price.

Governance

The MLUWC is based on a set of by-laws originally established in 1957 and updated periodically. The MLUWC is also bound by the CFUW by-laws. The most recent MLUWC constitution and by-laws are available, as well as the ​CFUW articles and by-laws (amended July 2015).
